Mountain Home Welcomes New Executive Director Caitlin Borgmann

MISSOULA, MT — On January 6th, 2025, Mountain Home Montana welcomed Caitlin Borgmann to our team as our new Executive Director. With nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership and a diverse background as a legal scholar and professor, Caitlin will guide Mountain Home through a phase of significant growth, as we expand our services to meet the community’s increasing needs.

Caitlin most recently served as Executive Director at the ACLU of Montana for eight years. She has a strong background in sustainable growth, fiscal strategy, justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as program development. Caitlin has successfully increased budgets through strategic fundraising and fostered intentional community collaboration.

Caitlin was drawn to Mountain Home for its commitment to addressing systemic, local, and individual barriers facing young families in Missoula. Through her work at the ACLU of Montana and CUNY School of Law, Caitlin collaborated with diverse groups and stakeholders, advocating for equity and inclusion, particularly for under-resourced communities and populations. Her experience in founding the ACLU of Montana’s Indigenous Justice Program, in particular, is crucial as Mountain Home works to provide inclusive services for more Native families.

Caitlin has shared her enthusiasm for joining Mountain Home, stating, “I’m deeply honored to join the dedicated team at Mountain Home Montana and am inspired by their commitment to empowering young women and their children. I’m looking forward to building on the work already done and guiding Mountain Home through this exciting time of growth, including our upcoming expansion to the new facility.”

“Under Caitlin’s leadership, Mountain Home will grow to meet the critical and rising needs of our community. We’re confident her vision will strengthen the impact we are making together in Missoula and across the state of Montana,” said Mountain Home’s Board Chair, Ana Beard.

Mountain Home is one of only three organizations in Montana providing holistic, long-term wrap-around two-generational care for young families. As one of Montana’s first trauma-informed childcare centers for children ages 0-3, Mountain Home serves as a resource for other human service organizations. Its transitional residential program, substance use recovery support, evidence-based supportive education, and employment programs are models statewide and nationally.

Mountain Home is a 501c3 nonprofit organization providing shelter and services for young mothers and their children who need a place to live and a support network as they create safe, stable, and nurturing homes of their own. For more information, go to www.mountainhomemt.org.
