Mountain Home's Executive Director explains why DPHHS cuts would be detrimental to young families and children.
Asking for help is a strength. Especially when it comes to mental health care—taking care of our minds, our moods, our fears—many moms feel that if they ask for help, they'll be judged as incapable, or "crazy." But we know from experience that moms are strongest when we admit where we’re vulnerable. Join forces with other moms.  Sign our pledge #strongmomsaskforhelp
Check out the new Supported Employment Program video. Mountain Home’s Supported Employment Program is a win-win for moms and for employers. From the mom’s perspective: “A job means for me stability, being able to take care of my kids. I can get them food, make sure they have clothes...I can have stableness in my life, because I haven’t had that throughout my life.” From the employer: “Give it a chance. Give it time to grow. You’re going to learn just as much as the employee if you do.”
